Venice is, of course, seeped in history, art and culture. Of these things, I know nothing. Did we visit Peggy Guggenheim's collection of modern art? Nope. Did we manage to properly schedule the Secret Tour of the Doge's palace?
Negative. Can I even name two or three other culture highlights that we missed? Unfortunately, no. And Mr. Google is speaking only Czech these days, so I hesitate to call on him and studder to a halt the already slo-mo velocity that is all my sleepy RAM can muster.
So, what did we do?
Hang out in our pjs outside our apartment. Nice. Digs.
Eat gelato.
Ride the vaporetti (water buses).
Peruse trinkets and trash.
Eat spaghetti, clearly demonstrating that my children were actually raised by wolves.
Occasionally let Hope handle the camera.
Attempt to capture 2010's Christmas Photo.
Eat more gelato.
And feed the pigeons in San Marco Piazza. Ah, tourists, you've got to love them.
Certainly, Dances With Pigeons had a nice time in Venice, despite the dearth of cultural events.
Lovely photo, Hope, keep up the great work!
p.s. do you have the wolves' contact info? Our wee one could use some feeding frenzy training.

Out of all the photos, I'm most jealous of the 'eating gelato" ones. *sniff, sniff*

It looks to me like the PERFECT trip to Venice and much like the one we took when I was 13 and my sister 6. Sometimes just BEING there is more important than "culture"!

Nice weather really made it grand!
Jerry, good luck with that child who will not eat. I was one, and I can tell you, they are a stubborn lot.
