Quick break in the travel blogging to bring you an update on the People in My Neighborhood:
Tram 1 and Tram 2 cross just up ahead of the men at work. They are working to unfreeze the track switch, which typically flips to allow Tram 1 to go its way to Prater and Tram 2 to circle around the Ringstrasse. We had a bit of snow last night, so it wasn't happening without blow torch intervention this morning.
It has been bitter, bitter cold here for the past week or so, with temps consistently below -10C. Which, is really cold. I've been running in it, but finally took a break, whinging on about how one of my knees might be bothering me. Actually, I'm just afraid I'm going to lose a toe to frostbite. Brrr.
Temps are meant to rise again at the end of the week. That would be good, because we'd really like to go ice skating, and frankly, if it doesn't warm up a bit, that's not happening.
